~ BARGAIN BEAUTY ~ £1 Tangle Teezer alternative!

Here in my town we're "blessed" to have 3 Pound shops (As well as 5 Greggs bakeries, but that's a story for another day!) Anyway, recently on a stroll around the biggest of the 3 shops, I came across what looked to be a small plastic horse grooming brush / an over sized brush for a Barbie. However, since it was among the entirely human hair care items, I became curious and went for a closer look...

On closer inspection I soon realised that this was the budget version of the ever raved about Tangle Teezer aptly called Tangle Attack. Now, I know for a fact people must have deemed me mad when I decided to buy one ( the looks from the cashier said it all!) , but since I have pretty much semi-Rapunzel hair,I was willing to try anything that could even attempt to conquer the mammoth sized knots I get!

Believe it or not, I can now say after almost a month of using my Tangle Attack, removing knots in my hair has been painless and pretty much effortless, but just how does it do it? No, seriously, you tell me, all the write up on the back is in Japanese after all! But still. who'd have thought that the bane of my life could be solved by a £1 product saving me having to fork out an extra £9 for the real deal!

The Tangle Attack is available in 3 colours: blackpurple & pink and it also includes a nifty travel case/cover, to protect the bristles!

Where?:  Poundland
How Much?: oh come on, REALLY?! £1!!
Rating: 9.5/10 (only issue is the gaudy Japanese packaging!)

  1. This sounds great for the money! I have a tangle teaser brush by Macadamia Oil and I love it so much! My boyfriend really likes it too for a head massage, bless him!

I told him I'd get him his own brush so that I don't need to keep taking my brush over to his, this looks like a great one to purchase for him!

    1. They really are, I'd argue they do the job just as well as the real deal too! What's even better for me is that, as I'm prone to losing things, if I lose this one I can just go buy another without having to fork out another £10!

  3. Blimey that's beyond brilliant! Over the last year, I shelled out around 10 quid for the real thing, another 10 quid for the Macadamia oil version (bought that first) and yet another 10 quid for the Denman Tangle Tamer (one for travel, one for handbag and one for vanity). Sheesh.

    1. I'm so glad I found this first! Especially since I'm fairly sure I could buy all of the 3 products you've mentioned and probably either break them or lose them and end up forking out another small fortune to replace them! You can't go wrong for a £1!

  4. Hi,

I come to Morocco a lot, they've been using this thing for ages and costs less than 1£, or 1€ for that matter.
The "inventor" of the Tangle Teezer has surely did well on marketing.
However, the product is fabricated in UK, so that's a good thing, comparing to the "3£ shops" products
